My Symbaloo includes various technology resources, including:

Class Dojo - ClassDojo is an incredible tool for classroom management and parent communication! It can be accessed via web browser or an easy-to-download app. Students are able to earn (or lose) points based on their behavior. They love choosing a monster avatar and watching it gain points through positive actions! The parent communication aspect of ClassDojo is very user-friendly with a pleasant interface. There is a text-style message feature, a storyboard where you can post class photos as well as individual photos on a student's own personal story. They have even introduced a portfolio component this year that allows students to take their learning into their own hands, to document their work and time in the classroom to share with their parents and reflect back on later! The best part? It's completely free!

ST Math - ST Math is a great subscription to have if you teach Common Core or Singapore Math. Students move through different topics and levels of problem-solving without written or verbal directions.

Brainpop, Jr. - Brainpop, Jr. (or Brainpop for upper elementary) is a great substitution for delivering content to use for all subjects. Its friendly and familiar characters teach students Science, Social Studies, Math, Reading, and Art concepts through cute cartoons and child-friendly language! While a paid subscription opens up seemingly endless content, there are a lot of free videos available, too!

Kahoot! - Kahoot is a fun and interactive augmentation to administer a quiz! It allows students to answer quickly, in real-time, and in a more collaborative way than paper and pencil!

Scholastic Book Club - Scholastic Book Club is a helpful tool for students, parents, and teachers! Parents can stock their child's home library with a variety of affordable books at their level, which, of course, allows for students to practice reading and improve their skills! Using this online club provides different opportunities than a bookstore, in that you can search for books at a child's specific level in an easy-to-use search and reciprocity tool. Student purchases also allow teachers to not only see what books their students are reading at home, but also to earn "points" to stock their classroom libraries!
